Sara began playing the violin at the age of 8, and studied with Reginald Stead before moving on to the RSAMD to complete her BA(Music Performance) in conjunction with Glasgow University. Sara enjoys teaching music in schools around West Dunbartonshire.

Sara has been a professional violinist for many years now, playing either her beautiful old Italian violin or her Starfish Stingray electric violin as the occasion dictates.

Sara is a freelance orchestral player, and a regular player in show bands in several leading venues in the West of Scotland such as the Kings Theatre, Mitchell Theatre, Eastwood Theatre, East Kilbride Theatre, etc. She is also particularly fond of playing ceilidh music.

Sara thoroughly enjoys working with Ataea, and looks forward to every gig they play together. Sara is the cheery ray of sunshine in the band, and always has a smile on her face.
