Tom studied music at the RSAMD before completing a BA(Educational Studies) and gaining a PGCE with distinction at the University of Strathclyde. Tom enjoys teaching music in schools around Glasgow.

Tom has been a professional bass player for many years now, playing either his Wilfer 5-string double bass or his Warwick Thumb bass as the occasion dictates.

Tom is a regular player in show bands in several leading venues in the West of Scotland such as the Kings Theatre, Mitchell Theatre, Eastwood Theatre, East Kilbride Theatre, etc.

Tom thoroughly enjoys his work with Ataea, and looks forward to every gig they play together. He is a bit of a practical joker and is always up for a laugh, despite appearing very serious (or even grumpy) at times.
